Day 1 – Arrival in Málaga (D)

We’ll arrive in Málaga and gather in the evening for a relaxed welcome dinner and orientation. This is our chance to meet as a group, talk through the flow of the trip, and go over photography goals, lynx behavior, and what to expect during our time in the hides.

Day 2 – Málaga to Andújar (B,L,D)

After breakfast, we’ll transfer to our hotel in Andújar, the heart of Iberian Lynx territory. The drive takes us into Andalucía’s rolling hills and olive groves, setting the stage for the wildlife days ahead. Once settled, we’ll prep gear and get ready for our first full day in the field.

Day 3 – Iberian Lynx Photography Hide (B,L,D)

Our first full day in an Iberian Lynx photography hide begins early with a simple breakfast around 6 AM. We’ll be in the hide from roughly 7 AM to 11:30 AM, focusing on behavior, movement, and clean compositions as the light evolves. After a lunch break and a well-earned power nap, we’ll return to the hide from 3 PM to 7 PM before heading out for a relaxed group dinner.

Day 4 – Iberian Lynx Photography Hide (B,L,D)

We’ll follow the same proven rhythm today, giving us another full day in the hide. With patience and time, we’ll work toward more intimate portraits and action moments, refining technique and anticipating behavior. Evenings are always unhurried, with dinner together around 8 PM—the Andalusian way.

Day 5 – Jándula River & Evening Lynx Hide (B,L,D)

This morning we’ll explore the Jándula River, photographing Eurasian Otters, birds, and macro subjects along the water’s edge. It’s a great change of pace and a chance to slow down and focus on smaller details. In the afternoon and evening, we’ll return to an Iberian Lynx hide for another prime shooting session.

Day 6 – Iberian Lynx Photography Hide (B,L,D)

Another full day in the hide allows us to build on previous days and really settle into the rhythm of lynx photography. By now, everyone will be comfortable working with changing light, long lenses, and subtle moments. We’ll once again break midday and return for afternoon activity.

Day 7 – Sierra de Andújar Wildlife Search (B,L,D)

Today we’ll head out across the mountains of the Sierra de Andújar, actively searching for Iberian Lynx, Red Deer, Fallow Deer, and Mouflon. This is a more dynamic day, ideal for environmental portraits and wildlife in expansive landscapes. We’ll adapt to conditions as they unfold and make the most of the scenery.

Day 8 – Iberian Lynx Photography Hide (B,L,D)

Our final full day in an Iberian Lynx hide gives us one last deep dive with this iconic species. This is the perfect opportunity to revisit personal shot lists, experiment creatively, and savor the experience now that everyone is fully in sync with the process.

Day 9 – Torcal de Antequera & Return to Málaga (B)

We’ll start early with an early morning transfer to the Torcal de Antequera Reserve, where we’ll photograph Iberian Ibex among dramatic limestone formations. After our morning shoot, we’ll transfer back to Málaga, bringing our Andalucía wildlife photography adventure to a close.
